"...So what's up with the get-up?" Link asked after a pause. Young Link gave him a bewildered look, and the adult corrected himself, "The bells...?"

"Oh. These."

The boy stared sorrowfully at the bells dangling off of his wrists, feet, and waist, listening to their pure sound as they rattled slightly. After another moment, he said softly, "They're training."

"...Training?"

"Yes...well, for me anyways. You see, when you can hear me coming, you're in no immediate danger," he said, then added with a bittersweet smile, "But it's when you can't hear me that you're in trouble..."

OMG, I'm actually submitting art again??

Soooo, a long time ago, well before the crap in the link over existed, someone once said on a wonderful forum how he/she liked to play Melee as Young Link dressed in black, because he looked like a little ninja/assassin.

I "kinda" took that one step further in my SSBM AU fanfic, where Young Link is a bit of a hitman (albeit a very girly-looking hitman). Yes, he is supposed to be particularly feminine-looking, although it's not supposed to imply anything...>.> He wears a modified female-kimono with a stereotypical ninja mask and Sheik-esque greaves.
